Is word-of-mouth marketing better than electronic world of mouth
As we know, EWOM is a traditional marketing methods, that is focus on person-to-person contacts that happen on the internet. An example of use EWOM on Instagram is the #MyCalvins campaign. The campaign allows consumers to submit photos wearing Calvin Klein products with the hashtag #MyCalvins on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and their website. The campaign has seen celebrity endorsers such as Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar and Kendall Jenner. So it attract more people knows the brand of CK and increase the income.
However, EWOM have a disadvantage, from my own experience, eWOM has low trust.From my own experience,I would go buy the product for the I checked some merchants google comments. It show me many function and easy useful, however the facts were quite different. I was acceptable for general service attitudes, Ordinary sense of use and spend much time and money, what I could not accept was so terrible! And always selling their products, which made me a little unpleasant!

Traditionally, word-of-mouth marketing is spread from one person to another on the basis of recommendation.In era society , a single recommendation can have huge impact , let word of mouth marketing increase profile quickly.
“With the encouragement of social media, trust has a significant impact on purchase intention. Therefore, trust plays an important role in e-commerce by directly influencing purchase intention and indirectly influencing perceived usefulness.” M. Nick Hajil said.
For me, i would more like word of mouth, WeChat is a one of famous social media, i often see the people post advertisement and photo on the home page, since i would go to make the nails, i will ask my friends which one is the best and my friends will told me the service experience and give me good recommendations.

So in my opinion, word of mouth can increase sales without advertising spending, build high loyalty,Higher involvement customers buy more frequently and recommend their friends more frequently.
EWOM and WOM all are good marketing methods.
